When a Urethane screen panel needs replacement, the first question is often not the price.
It is:
Which screen model do we actually need?
For maintenance teams and purchasing departments, identifying the correct SCREEN PANEL can be more difficult than expected. Two panels may look similar in a photo, but differences in overall dimensions, aperture size, tensioning direction, hook design, and machine configuration can make them completely incompatible.
Ordering the wrong panel may result in installation delays, production downtime, additional freight costs, or poor screening performance.
This guide explains how to identify the screen panel used on your Huatao High Frenquencyr or machine before requesting a quotation.

Huatao offers different wet fine-screening machines for different capacities and process requirements.
The High Frenquencyr can be configured with up to five screen decks operating in parallel. It uses Urethane urethane SCREEN PANELS and a drawbolt tensioning system. Huatao states that all panels on a five-deck machine can be changed in approximately 30 to 40 minutes when the correct panels and installation conditions are available.
The is a different screening platform. Although it also uses fine urethane screening surfaces, the machine structure, deck dimensions, tensioning arrangement, and panel configuration may differ from those of a conventional High Frenquencyr.
For this reason, identifying a screen only by the words "Huatao Urethane" is not enough.
Start with the equipment nameplate.
Look for information such as:
Machine model
Serial number
Number of decks
Screen width
Screen deck length
Manufacturing date
Motor specification
The machine model is usually the fastest way to narrow down the correct screen family.
Take a clear photo of the entire nameplate. Make sure all letters and numbers are readable. Do not rely on handwritten maintenance records unless the information can be verified against the machine itself.
A supplier may be able to recognize the equipment series from the model number, but the SCREEN PANEL still needs to be confirmed through dimensions and installation details.
A standard High Frenquencyr may contain up to five decks arranged vertically, with each deck operating in parallel.
However, the number of decks does not automatically tell you the total number of screen panels.
For example, a five-deck machine does not always use the same panel quantity in every configuration. The number of panels per deck may depend on:
Deck length
Panel length
Machine generation
Retrofit history
Tensioning arrangement
Special process configuration
Therefore, do not place an order based only on a formula such as:
Five decks × three panels = fifteen panels
That may be correct for a particular installation, but it should not be treated as a universal rule.
Count the actual panels installed on one deck and multiply this number by the number of operating decks.
Also check whether the plant keeps partial-deck spare panels or uses different apertures on different decks.
Remove one used panel and measure it carefully.
Record the following dimensions:
Overall length
Overall width
Total thickness
Screening area length
Screening area width
Hook width
Hook thickness
Reinforced edge dimensions
Distance between fixing features
Use millimetres and measure more than once.
A worn SCREEN PANEL may become stretched or distorted after long service. If possible, compare several panels or measure an unused spare.
Do not identify a screen solely from a nominal code such as "48-30" or "56-42" unless the meaning of the code has been verified. Commercial replacement suppliers may use internal naming systems that do not exactly match the original manufacturer's part-number system.
The physical dimensions are more reliable than an assumed model name.
This is one of the most important checks.
Determine whether the panel is tensioned:
Side to side
Front to back
By drawbolts
By metal hooks
By moulded polyurethane hooks
By another clamping or locking arrangement
The conventional High Frenquencyr uses a drawbolt tensioning system.
A panel designed for one tensioning direction cannot normally be turned 90 degrees and installed in another system. The reinforcement layout, hook orientation, aperture direction, and tension distribution are designed for a specific installation method.
Take photos from:
The feed end
The discharge end
Both sides of the deck
The underside of the panel
The hook or fixing edge
These photos often reveal more than a general picture of the complete machine.
Fine-screen apertures are difficult to measure with a normal ruler.
Depending on the application, the opening may be expressed in:
Microns
Millimetres
Mesh
Slot width
Nominal cut size
Huatao states that Urethane screens are available with openings down to 325 mesh, or approximately 45 microns. The company also states that Urethane panels may provide up to 45 percent open area, depending on the screen design.
The aperture should ideally be confirmed using:
The original purchase record
The panel label
The spare-parts list
A microscope or optical measuring device
A calibrated aperture gauge
Laboratory analysis of the opening
Do not assume that the product separation size is the same as the physical aperture.
The actual cut point is influenced by many operating conditions, including slurry density, particle shape, feed rate, vibration, spray water, and the percentage of near-size particles.
Inspect the panel frame, reinforced edges, underside, and hook area for:
Part numbers
Aperture markings
Manufacturing dates
Batch numbers
Logos
Direction arrows
Material codes
Colour markings
Clean the panel before taking photos.
Even a partial part number can help a supplier narrow down the correct design.
When possible, place a ruler next to the marking so that the scale and location are clear.
A dimensionally compatible screen is not necessarily the correct screen for the process.
Before requesting an offer, provide:
Material being screened
Feed particle-size distribution
Required separation size
Solids concentration
Slurry temperature
Feed capacity per machine
Current screen service life
Failure position
Oversize and undersize requirements
Existing aperture
Problems such as blinding or premature wear
Huatao describes Urethane screens as non-blinding urethane screening surfaces developed for fine-particle separation. It also notes that service lives of six to twelve months are common, although actual life depends heavily on the application and operating conditions.
A replacement supplier should therefore evaluate more than panel dimensions.
